Bicycle crotch aside, nothing much has been new in the
developing tiny human who is getting less tiny by the minute. I’m getting more
stir crazy with every passing day but there really isn’t much I can do about
it. Every time I try to go and run some errands and just walk around the
grocery store, post office, etc., I am either super tired halfway through, have
to pee about 465846165168 times during said errands, or am just so
uncomfortable from being on my feet that she creeps low and the waddle starts to
come out in full force. So I’ve been doing pretty much all my Christmas
shopping online and get deliveries nearly every day. I’m sure the UPS man just
LOVES me and my driveway that is so not easy for a box truck to turn around in
right about now.
The nesting instinct that everyone talks about with preggo
people hasn’t truly kicked in… at least I don’t think. Since the baby’s room
has been done now for about a month, the only thing I can really think of that
has been bugging me is that I feel like I have to have all the laundry done at
all times and that the kitchen needs to be clean and clear at all times. None
of which is very difficult to satiate the urge considering it is just the two
of us in the house.
…And then I realized that I’ve been thinking a lot about moving walls and making the
master suite that we have talked about since we were looking at the house. It’s
like, now that we have one room in the house that is completely done, I feel
like we need to focus on the next place that we spend the most time that we can
make the most impact – our bedroom. I’ve always wanted to make my bedroom a
place that feels like a place to retreat to. Unfortunately, right now it is
just another room that holds functional furniture and serves a purpose and
nothing more. I’m not so sure how he’s going to take the news that I really
want to get working on that room, but it’s worth a conversation. Because
nesting is in the budget…
