Minnesota and Wisconsin are absolutely colder than a witches youknowwhat. Staying at a brand new hotel in WI to see my customer and it's nice. I enjoy staying there. So I got up this morning and proceeded with my normal routine of hitting the shower at 7am and then proceeding to re-organize and pack, do the make-up and clothes thing and started blow drying my hair. All of the sudden the fire alarm is screaming through the entire hotel. I have half of my head to go in my blow drying routine, so I stick my head out of my room into the hall to see if there is a mass of people running for the door and all I saw was one guy. He told me that there was a water break downstairs and that we didn't need to evacuate. I was nearly ready to leave for my morning meeting so I finished up, put my heels on, and headed downstairs.
As soon as I got to the lobby, there was an inch of water across the whole place. Having no choice, I tip toed through the flood and made it outside to get the car started... in -15°F weather. I couldn't go back inside to wait for my car to warm up because it was flooded, as I had just swam through, so I sat in the car. And my feet froze. Literally froze. I drove the 15 minutes to my meeting and was fighting back tears the entire way because my toes were so frozen. So I call the hubby to tell him about my horrible no good very bad start to my morning and he demands that I stay in the car until my toes and shoes have had a chance to warm up and dry out. Five minutes later I put on my big girl panties and headed in for the meeting... which turned out to be awesome, by the way.
So all in all, a bad start to a good day. So here I sit at the airport waiting to head back to my sunny mountain paradise. And these guys are bad influences...
