Back in the Saddle... again.

And I’m baaaaack in the saddle againnnn!!

Chicago was a good short trip and I was able to go to dinner with a new pal of mine who just so happens to be super handsome. It is always good to have a new friend in the same industry and with the easy on the eyes bonus. After that nice short trip I was able to be home for a record 4 days in a row and I actually wasn’t feeling run down or sick for once.

One of those four glorious days home was the Stepford baby shower party. I am now officially the only one who doesn’t have a kid or is currently cooking one. So needless to say this was a Martha fricken Stewart looking baby shower that involved blue ribbons on wine glasses that had our names on them and contained non-alcoholic tropical spritzers, cucumber sandwiches towers with the crusts cut off, fruit salad and painting of bibs and wash cloths. Due to the cheese factor being at a 15 and the constant talk about breast feeding, pregnancy pains, and babies, I decided that I would be the photographer for the event and spent my time taking pictures of anything and everything. It kept me busy and this way the Stepford baby makers could have a lovely memento of the event. All in all I didn’t feel too out of place and was able to leave the event with everyone loving my mad gift basket making skills.

Currently, I am on yet another plane headed to North Carolina for a quick trip to do the part of my job I actually love. It seems that since I have been hired to do the job description that they gave me for the past 4 years I have rarely gotten the chance to do just that. This will be a welcome chance. Plus... I think the weather will actually be nice there for a change. It seems like whenever I am down for a visit they get a freak tornado or ice storm. The South ain’t got time for that!
